Welcome to the Mainland Christian School and Child Care Center's website.

The Mainland Christian School and Child Care Center Board is made up of Board members who volunteer their time, resources and love to work with the Business Administrator in managing daily activities. The Board consists of Carmen Melchor and Benjamin Breedlove, Board Chairman.

Your decision to bring your child to us is an important step in their education and spiritual growth. At Mainland Christian School (MCS) and Mainland Christian Child Care Center (MC4), we use the ABEKA curriculum; a Christian based curriculum for Christian schools. Your child will be challenged, educated and groomed to be the leaders of tomorrow. At MCS & MC4, the Bible is taught to the children, memorizing of Bible verses along with math, reading and arithmetic.

Why can we offer a Bible based education when other schools cannot even speak of God in the classroom?

The reason is that we are a private school and are not funded by the State of Texas. Public schools and charter schools that are funded by the State cannot speak of God, creation, use of the Bible, nor can they PRAY! We as a private Christian School can pray, we can speak of the Bible, we can teach from the Bible, we can offer an education where God is living inside the children, teachers and school.

Since we are not funded by the State of Texas, the parents, grandparents and sponsors pay for their children's tuition to attend MCS & MC4. They believe that God has to be put back into the classroom and the children need a quality education that instills Christian values in the leaders of tomorrow.

The School Board members are people that God has chosen to be on the School Board. It is made up of parents, grandparents and others who volunteer their time, efforts, money and their love for the children and facilities. That is correct, no one is paid to be on the School Board.

Whether you put your children with MCS or MC4 or somewhere else, I ask that you will pray for the children that are in Galveston County. So many are lost, not physically, but Spiritually. Help me in praying for their salvation, praying that they will find and develop their relationship with the Creator of all things, that they will know Jesus Christ, how He loved us so much that He died for all our sins, and that He offers a free gift to them, but they have to know Him and accept Him into their hearts.
